Earlier this week, Britney’s visitation rights were expanded following a low-key child-custody hearing in Los Angeles. The judge hearing the custody battle between pop singer Britney Spears and her ex-husband praised the former for trying to get her personal life under control. Consequently, he granted her more time with her sons, while her former husband Kevin Federline retains custody. Showing good judgement and marked improvement, Spears, 26, turned up at court on time, demurely dressed in a brown polka-dot dress and cream cardigan, and accompanied by her parents. I’m extremly happy for Britney with this small victory. She’s really turned her life around in the past two months. She’s gone against bad predictions and I’m postive that if this continues, she and her ex-husband might be able to have an arrangement that will be better for their children. Regarding her previous behavior, it may stem from an old excuse but I am partial to Madonna’s explanation . The icon defended Spears saying,
“She never was allowed to have a childhood, you know, she was a star when she was a child. “She didn’t get to grow up and make mistakes privately… she’s been under a microscope since she was a teenager, which I think is really tough, it’s hard to evolve that way.”
